Dommuseum Salzburg

Dommuseum Salzburg

The museum is housed in the cathedral's gallery rooms, which are worth a visit in themselves. These rooms, some of which were once used as chapels, have preserved their Baroque decor and offer unusual views of the city and the cathedral. Among the art treasures, goldsmith's works, sculptures and paintings from the Middle Ages and the Baroque period are worth mentioning. Among the main sights are the Rupertus Cross from the 8th century, the Host Dove from Limoges, the Pretiosenmonstranz as well as paintings by Paul Troger and reliefs by Georg Raffael Donner.
