Köstendorf is a municipality in Salzburger Land in the district of Salzburg-Umgebung in Austria with 2678 inhabitants. The municipality is located 15 kilometers northeast
of the city of Salzburg am Wallersee in the judicial district of Seekirchen. The first documented mention of Köstendorf dates back to 784, but the area at the foot of the Tannberg has a long history.
